If you know me even a little bit, you know that I LOVE the Lorien Legacies! I haven't watched the I Am Number Four movie though, because the casting makes me angry. Here is a cast of actual teenagers rather than 30 year olds. John - Gage Munroe He is 15 at the start of the series!! The actor in the I Am Number Four movie was 21 at the time of filming and looked even older!! Gage Munroe actually looks about the right age, he's blond (as John is described to be) and looks athletic. Sam - Callan McAuliffe He actually plays Sam in the movie, and I'm cool with that. He fits the character's description and was 17 at the time of filming. He'd obviously be too old now, but at the time he was a good fit. Sarah - Elle Fanning Sarah's casting is the one that makes me most angry, as her actress was 25 at the time!! She could have finished College and had a Full-time job but instead she's playing a freaking sophomore in High School! Nah... Elle Fanning is stunning and also blonde, so she fits the character description. She's also an appropriate age! (I didn't realises how many of these characters are blonde? Wow.) Eight - Aramis Knight Aramis unfortunately doesn't have black hair, but nothing that can't be fixed with a bit of hairdye! ;) Six - Isabella Gomez I LOVE Isabella Gomez and Six is my favourite character in this series. The fact that she is kind of hispanic looking gives me the opportunity to cast one of my favourite actresses as her. Seven - Piper Curda Seven is described as having long brown hair in the book, and as she's grown up in Spain I wanted to make sure she looked the part. Five - Rico Rodriguez He's described as being short and stocky, which Rico is. His race or hair colours or whatever are never mentioned ( I think ) so I went with hispanic because why not. Nine - Zachary Gordon He looks a bit young in this picture, but he looks older in real life. He's got dark hair and he's good looking, which fits his character. Ella - Francesca Capaldi A cute little readheaded girl. That took me aaages to compile! Let me know if you have any other suggestions for actors!!

Lola - Sierra McCormick It's hard to cast Lola, as she wears wigs, so the actress will have to wear wigs too and she will look different all the time! Sierra is pretty and looks quite young, which I think fits with Lola's character as she behaves like a true teenager and has a lot to learn. Cricket - Asa Butterfield Cricket should be cute and geeky, and whenever I picture him, I picture him with glasses! This picture suits my image of him perfectly. Max - Jake T. Austin Max has to look older and more mature than Lola. He also needs to have a bit of a 'cool' vibe around him. I think this picture of Jake T. Austin shows that he can work that. Lindsey - Peyton List Not much information is given about Lindsey's appearance, so I made a guess and chose Peyton List. Calliope - Natalia Dyer I think Calliope should look fierce and confident, and have the elegant body of a figure skater. Natalia Dyer embodies that and I although she looks soft in this picture, there's other pictures of her online where she looks like she could kick some serious butt. What do you think of this fancast? Let me know whom you would like to see in a Lola and the Boy Next Door movie!
Eleanor and Park is easily one of my favourite books. I love daydreaming about the characters, and thus about what they would look like. It's taken me a while to find someone to fit Eleanor, but I think I've finally found who I'm looking for! Eleanor - Emma Kenney Emma Kenney is not a natural redhead, but nothing that can't be fixed with a bit of hairdye, as she does it for Shameless US too! I think she would be perfect because she's about the right age, and she has the right body type. I think if an Eleanor & Park movie was made, the worst thing they could do was cast one of those super skinny actresses Hollywood is so full of to play Eleanor. Ariel Winter has a body type closer to most girls' so I think she'd be great for the role! Park - Yeo Jin-Goo Yeo Jin-Goo is a Korean guy of the right age, who looks like a sweetheart. And when I think of Park, I definitely think of someone who looks sweet. It's very important to me that the actor who plays Park is either half-Korean like Park himself or fully Korean, as he is described as looking mostly like his Korean mum in the book. He is also described as having green eyes though, but hey, Harry Potter was supposed to have blue eyes too. Can't have everything. Let me know what you think of my fancast! Could you see these two playing Eleanor and Park? |
