My first book haul! From the library, that is; I can't afford to buy all my books.. ANOTHER DAY - DAVID LEVITHAN SYNOPSIS: Every day is the same for Rhiannon. She has accepted her life, convinced herself that she deserves her distant, temperamental boyfriend, Justin, even established guidelines by which to live: Don’t be too needy. Avoid upsetting him. Never get your hopes up. Until the morning everything changes. Justin seems to see her, to want to be with her for the first time, and they share a perfect day—a perfect day Justin doesn’t remember the next morning. Confused, depressed, and desperate for another day as great as that one, Rhiannon starts questioning everything. Then, one day, a stranger tells her that the Justin she spent that day with, the one who made her feel like a real person…wasn’t Justin at all. I'm super excited to read this! Even though I only just realised that it's a companion novel and I haven't read the original.. Oops. From what I have read it can probably be read without reading Every Day first. David Levithan is honestly one of my favourite authors so I'm looking forward to reading this! I WAS HERE - GAYLE FORMAN SYNOPSIS: When her best friend Meg drinks a bottle of industrial-strength cleaner alone in a motel room, Cody is understandably shocked and devastated. She and Meg shared everything—so how was there no warning? But when Cody travels to Meg’s college town to pack up the belongings left behind, she discovers that there’s a lot that Meg never told her. About her old roommates, the sort of people Cody never would have met in her dead-end small town in Washington. About Ben McAllister, the boy with a guitar and a sneer, who broke Meg’s heart. And about an encrypted computer file that Cody can’t open—until she does, and suddenly everything Cody thought she knew about her best friend’s death gets thrown into question. I read If I Stay by the same author and I just connected so much with the characters so I have high expectations for I Was Here as well. The story sounds really interesting and I've been wanting to read more ' basic drama stuff' instead of all the scifi and fantasy that I usually read! THE POTION DIARIES - AMY ALWARD SYNOPSIS: When the Princess of Nova accidentally poisons herself with a love potion meant for her crush, she falls crown-over-heels in love with her own reflection. Oops. A nationwide hunt is called to find the cure, with competitors travelling the world for the rarest ingredients, deep in magical forests and frozen tundras, facing death at every turn. Enter Samantha Kemi - an ordinary girl with an extraordinary talent. Sam's family were once the most respected alchemists in the kingdom, but they've fallen on hard times, and winning the hunt would save their reputation. But can Sam really compete with the dazzling powers of the ZoroAster megapharma company? Just how close is Sam willing to get to Zain Aster, her dashing former classmate and enemy, in the meantime? I know, I know. I just said I want to read more ' basic drama stuff', but that doesn't mean I'm going to read less scifi and fantasy too! I wanted to read this as it's a part of Zoe's book club (Zoe as in Zoella from YouTube) and I have already read some other books from her list and liked them, so I figured she has a good taste in books and I should read some more of her recommendations! Let me know if you've read any of these books and what you thought of them! :)
