[ Contains NO spoilers for this book or the rest of the series ] This book started out SO. SLOW. It took me eight days to read it, because half the time I couldn't be bothered to pick it up. That is, until page 200 or so, when things suddenly started picking up pace very, very quickly. I read the last 220 pages within two days. Although others have said that this book was better than the first book, I have to disagree because of those first 200 pages. The last half was definitely amazing and thrilling and everything I could possibly wish for in a book. Sarah J. Maas does not shy away from killing characters and that is brilliant, but also scary because it keeps the reader on their toes. I LOVE the characters in this series. It is sometimes hard to write characters you love having fights, because it's hard to imagine them disagreeing as you love them both and want them to have good opinions. Sarah J. Maas manages to have her characters fight and disagree and make mistakes, but still have me feeling torn between what is the right thing and whom I should be siding with. There is no doubt in my mind that she is an amazing author and I admire her greatly. The ending of this book slammed me in the face and I can't wait to read the next book! So many things were suddenly revealed and at the same time only created more mysteries. I'm so excited to see how everything is resolved, but seeing as there are four more books, I have a feeling I'll have to carry my curiosity around for quite some time... This book is thrilling, exciting, fresh, and action-packed! I would recommend this series to anyone who does not shy away from gore and violence and loves a good fantasy book! I love Math, believe it or not! I'm currently studying hard to learn the contents of a three-year secondary school course that I didn't take when I was in secondary school, but I need to pass an entrance test on the contents of that course before I can study Math in university, which I'm hoping to do after I finish my English degree. Besides Math, I obviously also love books, so books about Math are perfect for me! An Abundance of Katherines - John GreenAn Abundance of Katherines rests on a basis of a mathematic formula that calculates the likely outcome of any relationship Colin has with a girl called Katherine. It involves some nice graphs even! Eventually, the formula is proven to be wrong, but surely it's just not well-researched enough; Math never lies! ;) Silence Is Goldfish - Annabel PitcherSilence Is Goldfish isn't necessarily about Math, but about a girl who is very good at Math and her relationship with her Math teacher. I love when female main characters are good at STEM subjects, as for some reason they are usually interested in art or literature in fiction. When a girl loves a STEM subject I feel a sense of pride and I really hope she succeeds! Zenn Diagram - Wendy BrantZenn Diagram is also about a girl who is very good at Math, but she's also got a condition that allows her to see visions of the inside of a person's brain when she touches them or their stuff. She calls these visions Algos and Fractals, after Mathematical terms, and also compares them with these. Do you know of any other Math themed YA books? Please let me know, as I'd love to read them!

I was surprisingly happy with the The Fault in Our Stars movie! I think the producers stayed very close to the original book and I was glad they didn't change any major things. One thing I am sad they changed is the fact that in the book Hazel had a friend called Kaitlyn, who didn't exist in the movie. I think Kaitlyn would've been a nice female addition to the cast, as it is very male overall with 3 out of 4 major characters being male, even though the main character is female. Come on, people, we can do better than that. Gus' ex-girlfriend is also removed from the movie. Another girl removed, why?! For the rest, I'm very satisfied with the movie. I loved the book, so obviously if the movie sticks close to the book I'm going to love that too. Of course I always get disappointed by actors, as they are always too old. Hollywood, for the love of God, stop casting 20-somethings to play 16-year-olds! For the rest, I think the appearances of the actors are very close to how I expected the characters to look. I also loved the deleted scene with John Green!! Unfortunately it's not in the movie, but it's a sweet scene with a little girl who is curious about Hazel's tubes in her nose, and with John Green as the girl's father. Overall a good movie (I cried) that I would recommend to anyone looking to have a good sob! IMDb: www.imdb.com/title/tt2582846/ I am a reasonably sport-y person. I run once or twice a week and do some exercises sometimes. During the school year I also go to the gym at least once a week and get in a bodyfit class or something like that. But still, there's plenty of characters whose fitness routines I wish I could muster, especially because they're usually a lot of fighting practise which is so cool. NineThe Lorien Legacies series - Pittacus Lore Nine from the Lorien Legacies has an entire gym and training hall in his Chicago penthouse and he's in amazing shape. He's an excellent fighter, he's fast, strong, motivated, and can run 60k in one go (aliens, man). I wish I even had half his skills, strength and stamina. JamesCHERUB series - Robert Muchamore Everyone at CHERUB is super in shape, as they are trained to be the best agents they can be. They have a dojo, training halls and running tracks. The agents can all run 20k with military equipment on their backs. G O A L S. ThomasThe Maze Runner series - James Dashner Thomas and Minho can run all day in the mazes. Think that speaks for itself. Although I do not wish to have their 'routine', specifically, as I don't wish I would be spending every day of my life running around a maze. I just want the stamina ;) To summarise: I mostly wish I could fight and run faster and longer. Which character's fitness routine do you wish you could have? Let me know!
If you know me even a little bit, you know that I LOVE the Lorien Legacies! I haven't watched the I Am Number Four movie though, because the casting makes me angry. Here is a cast of actual teenagers rather than 30 year olds. John - Gage Munroe He is 15 at the start of the series!! The actor in the I Am Number Four movie was 21 at the time of filming and looked even older!! Gage Munroe actually looks about the right age, he's blond (as John is described to be) and looks athletic. Sam - Callan McAuliffe He actually plays Sam in the movie, and I'm cool with that. He fits the character's description and was 17 at the time of filming. He'd obviously be too old now, but at the time he was a good fit. Sarah - Elle Fanning Sarah's casting is the one that makes me most angry, as her actress was 25 at the time!! She could have finished College and had a Full-time job but instead she's playing a freaking sophomore in High School! Nah... Elle Fanning is stunning and also blonde, so she fits the character description. She's also an appropriate age! (I didn't realises how many of these characters are blonde? Wow.) Eight - Aramis Knight Aramis unfortunately doesn't have black hair, but nothing that can't be fixed with a bit of hairdye! ;) Six - Isabella Gomez I LOVE Isabella Gomez and Six is my favourite character in this series. The fact that she is kind of hispanic looking gives me the opportunity to cast one of my favourite actresses as her. Seven - Piper Curda Seven is described as having long brown hair in the book, and as she's grown up in Spain I wanted to make sure she looked the part. Five - Rico Rodriguez He's described as being short and stocky, which Rico is. His race or hair colours or whatever are never mentioned ( I think ) so I went with hispanic because why not. Nine - Zachary Gordon He looks a bit young in this picture, but he looks older in real life. He's got dark hair and he's good looking, which fits his character. Ella - Francesca Capaldi A cute little readheaded girl. That took me aaages to compile! Let me know if you have any other suggestions for actors!!

[ screaming for four minutes straight ] I LOVED THIS SERIES! It started out as one of those super basic love stories in a cute fairytale setting, but it became so much more than that, with the problems of the castes and the rebellions and everything! This series is very, very dear to me and it has quickly become one of my favourites. I am super looking forward to reading the two kind-of-epilogue books!! America got on my nerves at times (Oh my god, girl, COMMUNICATE!! If you are worried about something, TALK ABOUT IT!!) and I read in some other reviews that people really disliked her. However, I feel like I understood her so well. You can say it's a terrible thing to leave two boys hanging, but sometimes you can't help how you feel. And especially when one of those boys broke up with you before which makes you insecure, but you have to watch the other boy date other girls, which makes you insecure as well! I think we can all be a little more patient with America, as she tried her best and it's totally understandable that she was confused and insecure. I mean, going from being a Five to being the Queen is daunting, and it's only logical that she was unsure if she was up for the task. And with so many people being against her, I think she was very brave altogether. I loved all the female characters in this series as well. I was afraid it would be a big competition between all the girls and the main character, but there was so much female friendship and loving going on! I loved that! The storyline just kept my attention and I read these books in two days. Even though from the start you kind of know how it's going to end, I was still dying to figure everything out and to find out not only what happens to America, but also to everyone else! I'm sad to say goodbye to this Selection, America and Maxon, but I know they'll come back in small roles in the next two books. I would definitely recommend these books to anyone who's a sucker for a good romance! The Elite (The Selection #2) Goodreads: www.goodreads.com/book/show/16248068-the-elite?from_search=true Amazon: www.amazon.com/Elite-Selection-Kiera-Cass/dp/0062059971 The One (The Selection #3) Goodreads: www.goodreads.com/book/show/18635016-the-one?from_search=true Amazon: www.amazon.com/One-Selection-Kiera-Cass/dp/0062060007/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_14_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=NVZ4NFEE9Y4ARZ5ADFV8 I've talked about series that got better as they went on, but there's also series that were best in the middle! Usually I think the first or last book of a series is the best, so this will probably be short list though. CHERUB series - Robert MuchamoreThe CHERUB series is more of a collection of separate adventures with the same characters, so I think the middle books are best because that's when the introductions are over and things really get going. Also, you have gotten to know the characters and gotten attached to them. The Selection series - Kiera CassThis is technically a bit of a cop-out, as this series consists of a trilogy with two epilogue-y books. I really loved The One, which is the third book in the series so the last of the trilogy. As expected, a short post. What series do you think I missed in this post? Let me know!
