Netflix' newest hit is, as you all know, the series 'Thirteen Reasons Why', about the friends of a girl who committed suicide watching the tapes she left behind. It is based on a novel by Jay Asher, and whether you liked the book, the series or both, here's a book you will probably like too! SYNOPSIS: When her best friend Meg drinks a bottle of industrial-strength cleaner alone in a motel room, Cody is understandably shocked and devastated. She and Meg shared everything—so how was there no warning? But when Cody travels to Meg’s college town to pack up the belongings left behind, she discovers that there’s a lot that Meg never told her. About her old roommates, the sort of people Cody never would have met in her dead-end small town in Washington. About Ben McAllister, the boy with a guitar and a sneer, who broke Meg’s heart. And about an encrypted computer file that Cody can’t open—until she does, and suddenly everything Cody thought she knew about her best friend’s death gets thrown into question. I Was Here is honest, real and a bit harsh at times. It shows you the truth without sugarcoating it. You get a look into a creepy and very real world that exists and that you should never want to venture into. The main character, Cody, goes on a hunt to figure out what really happened to Meg, and you slowly unravel more and more details about her story as you read on, the way you get a little more information with every episode of Thirteen Reasons Why. It's mystery combined with a lot of emotions, and even some kittens thrown in to put your feelings into overdrive!
